Objectives
An overview of the Portuguese heritage around the world through the great periods of expansion, providing students with the ability to frame the different cultural realities and understand the impact of the Portuguese presence in local heritage realities
Program
PORTUGUESE HERITAGE ACROSS HISTORY
1. The beginning of the expansion
2. The "First Empire": India and the East
3. The "Second Empire": Brazil
4. The "Third Empire": Africa of the 19th and 20th centuries
II. PROTECTION OF THE PORTUGUESE HERITAGE TODAY
1. Coordinated actions for the defense of the Portuguese heritage
2. Classified heritage of Portuguese origin: at world and state level
Evaluation Methodology
Assessment consists of:
-one test and one written assignment each worth 50% of the total. Pass mark: Minimum of 10/20.
-an exam, for those who have not passed.
Pass mark: Minimum of 10/20.
