Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to use the main resources of production planning, programming and control in order to maximize productivity. Thus, students should know concepts that allow:
i) apply techniques to support management in decision making, including product costing, and inventory management
ii) analyze data to provide relevant information to support management decision making
iii) prepare information to support management in decision making on topics, including planning and budgeting, cost management, quality control, performance measurement and comparative analysis;
iv) strengthen scientific research, improve the technological capacities of industrial sectors, encourage innovation
v) substantially reduce the generation of waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse
vi) Promote sustainable public procurement practices, in accordance with national policies and priorities
