To know the legal labor frame in Portugal as well as the frame in europen union.
Type of contracts.
Ways of ending the contracts.
The personal rights of workers.
Program
1. Concept of labour law. Characteristics of this branch of law.
2. Institutional framework.
3. Sources of labour law.
4. Labour disputes and their resolution.
5. The individual labour contract - typology and characteristics.
6. Subjects of the contract, their rights and obligations.
7. Personal rights.
8. Equality and non-discrimination in the workplace.
9. Parenthood.
Evaluation Methodology
In addition to worksheets, which will be purely informative, continuous assessment will be carried out through two written tests, with a weighting of 50 per cent in the final grade. Only students with a mark of 8 or more will be allowed to take the second test, otherwise they will be admitted to the final exam.
Students with a mark of 10 or more are exempt from the exam.
