Objectives
Make the first contact with analog photography techniques from photographic paper processing to understanding darkroom image formation.
Program
Module 1: EVIDENT AND LATENT DARKING PROCESS: The aim is to introduce the student to the evident and latent process, the concept of positive-negative, photographic paper and the black and white printing laboratory.
Module 2: THE STEENOPETIC CAMERA: principle of image formation, notion of focal length and use in image production
Module 3: INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHIC CAMERA: explanation of the main components of the camera, introduction to film development and image enlargement, project realization with reference to photography history classes
Evaluation Methodology
The assessment of learning will be done in a
continuous maner.
The theoretical and practical knowledge will be evaluated through the presentation, defense and discussion of the proposed practical work, through portfolio.
Participation in practical classes (30%).
Portfolio presentation (70%).
Exam period: portfolio presentation (70%) + written test (30%).

Teaching Method
Given the markedly technological characteristics of the subject under study, the development of the program will be essentially practical.
For each module will be proposed an exercise, to be performed individually.
