Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to use the main resources of production planning, programming and control in order to maximize productivity. Thus, students should know concepts that allow:
i) apply techniques to support management in decision making, including product costing, and inventory management
ii) analyze data to provide relevant information to support management decision making
iii) prepare information to support management in decision making on topics, including planning and budgeting, cost management, quality control, performance measurement and comparative analysis;
iv) strengthen scientific research, improve the technological capacities of industrial sectors, encourage innovation (SDG 9: Innovation and Infrastructure) and reduce waste, retail and consumer along the production and supply chains (SDG 12: Production and Consumption) Sustainable)
v) substantially reduce the generation of waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse (SDG 12: Sustainable Production and Consumption)
vi) Promote sustainable public procurement practices, in accordance with national policies and priorities (SDG 12: Sustainable Production and Consumption)
