Objectives
Develop skills for the analysis and resolution of problems related with kinematics, dynamics and electrostatic.
Program
1-Unit Systems. 1.1 Measurements and Units, 1.2 Physical Quantities and their units. International System of Units, 1.3 Dimensional analysis, 1.4 Significant digits and orders of magnitude, 1.5 Order of physical magnitude of - Length, Mass and Time.
2-Observation and measurement. Data records. 2.1 Importance of measurement, 2.2 Types of errors in measurements and measurements, 2.3 Calculation of errors in direct measurements, 2.4 Accuracy versus Accuracy, 2.5 Calculation of errors in indirect measurements, 2.6 Physical-Mathematical Models.
3-Kinematics of the material point. 3.1 Relative Motion, 3.2 Rectilinear Motion, 3.2A Uniform Rectilinear Motion, 3.2B Uniformly Accelerated Rectilinear Motion, 3.3 Curvilinear Motion.
4-Dynamics of the material point. 4.1 Newton's Laws.
5-Work and Energy. 5.1 Impulse, 5.2 Work, 5.3 Kinetic Energy, 5.4 Potential Energy. Conservative Forces, 5.5 Energy Conservation of a Particle, 5.6 Tensile Strength, 5.7 Collisions.
6- Electrostatics. 6.1 Coulomb's Law.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment: two tests written containing problems and essay questions, during the semester, with a weighting of 50% each for the final score. Final written exam for the student who has not passed continuous assessment (or grade improvement) in Exam and / or Appeal Exam, with a weighting of 100% for the final grade.
