Objectives
A.To understand the authoring role of the editor in a filmmaking project;
B. To understand the concept of editing/montage;
C. To be able to plan and carry out a film editing project;
D. To know and master the basics of operating a video editing software.
Program
1.History of Montage
2. The editors authorship;
3. Concept of filmmaking device;
4. Review concepts related to the narratives internal structure and functioning;
5. Organisation and planning of an editing project;
6. Introduction to editing software and development of the major techniques.
7. Cinema rhetoric and techniques.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment:
a) Attendance and participation - 20%
b) Exercise 01 - 30%

c) Exercise 02 - 50%
Until 3rd of December 2019
Exam - First attempt and Resit:
