Objectives
After Physics I course, it is intended that students complete their cinematic knowledge (A), to become familiar with the concept of energy in its various aspects (B) and master the basic principles related to electrostatic and electricity (C).
Program
1-Motion Vibration and Waves.
Description of the vibrating and oscillating motion. Oscillation of the gravitational pendulum. Superposition principle. Damped and forced oscillators. Resonance frequency. Wave motion. Wave equation. Transverse and Longitudinal waves. Reflection. Refraction. Absorption. Diffraction. Doppler effect. Stationary waves.
2-Energy
Concept of Energy. Kinetic and potencial energy. Elastic energy. Energy conservation principle. Energy conversions. The various forms of energy.
3-Electrostatic and Electricity.
Electric charges. Interaction between electric charges. Coulomb's law. Potential and electrical energy. Electric field. Components and electrical circuits in direct current. Ohm's law, Joule and Kirchhoff.
Evaluation Methodology
Two intermediate tests consisting of problems and extended writing, trought the semester.

Teaching Method
Theoretical-practical classes to display the contents, involving problem solving and laboratory experiments. To better understanding and clarify some concepts and laws, numerical simulations online are used.
