Objectives
On completion of this course unit students should be able to analyse, characterise and design several mechanical infrastructures used in building regeneration. They should also be familiar with indoor air quality requirements, equipment efficiency analysis and energy systems and air conditioning of buildings.
Program
Electrical Installations in buildings: standards, materials, equipment, design, implementation.
Telecommunications infrastructures for buildings: standards, materials, equipment, design, implementation.
Indoor Air Quality: Air quality and comfort, technical solutions and typical installations in buildings.
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning: design of equipments, pipes, ducts, etc.
Evaluation Methodology
Practical assignments (50%) and written exam (50%).
