Objectives
Acquire knowledge about: the structures of Control Systems and Home Automation systems; the analysis and design applied to intelligent buildings, stability analysis and performance; the type of communication networks used in intelligent buildings, and remaining associated technology.
Program
1. Introduction to Control Systems
2. Signals and systems classification
3. Mathematical models of physical systems
4. Analysis of continuous-time LTI systems
5. Design of classical control systems
6. General Control Designs
7. Sensors in Intelligent Buildings (IB)
8. Introduction to Home Automation
9. Bus system
10. Introduction to communication networks for IB
11. Approach to design in IB
Evaluation Methodology
Final assessment is based on assignments. The final grade will be calculated according to the following formula:
(NF = 0.3xNTP+0.5xNT+0.2xNA)where NF - final mark; NTP- mark of pratical works; NT - mark of assignment and NA - mark of presentation
