Objectives
The programme is designed to promote an analysis of the factors that increase the environmental impact in the construction industry. Allows students to understand the importance of sustainable materials and systems, in the design, contract execution, maintenance and demolition of buildings.
Program
1.Sustainability and environmental assessment; 2.Fundamental concepts: Hazarduos materials, embodied energy content, durability of building materials, life-cycle assessment; 3.Good practices in green buildings: Energy and water efficiency; 4. Environmental Management Plan; 5.Sustainable construction technologies.
Evaluation Methodology
Assignment (40%).
Closed book test or exam (60%).
