Objectives
Understand and caracterize Western Art as part of the cultural development in the Western society focusing on the evolution of the aesthetic concept across the centuries until the Modern Age.
Students should be able to collect and process scientific data from historical and artistic area

I- Introduction to the Theory and History of Art
1.1 - Origins of Aesthetics, History of Art and Art Criticism .
1.2 - Artistic creation and aesthetic judgment : artistic value and aesthetic value.
1.3 - The different artistic fields: the artistic techniques .
2 - The current situation of the History of Art -Science .
2.1 - The role of art historian in the preservation of cultural heritage.
3-The approach to art object.
3.1 - The status of the artwork and its evolution.
