Film Editing I.
Objectives
a.Command of techniques for conversion, upload and download of media files; b.Develop the ability to deal with archival footage; c.Create a singular approach on the collage of image, sound and text; d.Reflect on new modes of production and distribution of images.
Program
The re-appropriation of images produced in an ephemeral context of dissolution in the TV stream; Creative possibilities and new contextualization obtained in the manner of collage; The "poor image" as a result of new digital information technologies and its multiple channels of circulation and distribution via Web; Authorship and viewpoint transmitted by editing; The voiceover and its associative and transformative power over the meaning of the images; "Non-creative writing", use of Copy & Paste techniques in creative ways, and the concept of original, copy and new original; Download, encoding, decoding and transcoding techniques; Introduction to complementary softwares; Export and upload techniques.
