(2) Docente que lecciona
Prerequisites
Concepts of chemical kinetics and thermodynamics.
Objectives
Development of skills in the analysis and design of ideal chemical reactors through the production of mass and energy balances.
Program
1 Introduction: classification, characterisation and selection of ideal chemical reactors.
2 Methods for experimental determination of chemical reaction kinetics.
3 Reactors with on-load refuelling and a stirring device
4 - Batch and semi-batch reactors
5 - Tubular reactors
6 Residence time distribution
Evaluation Methodology
Theoretical component is assessed through a written test (as continuous or exam assessment) and practical component is assessed through laboratory reports and coursework.
