Objectives
Build competencies in the area of fermentation methods that form the basis of the main industrial processes for the production of renewable fuels, or their additives, with emphasis on processes of third generation.
Program
Fundamentals of microbiology.
Microbial kinetics.
Operation of fermentors.
Case studies of fermentation processes applied to the production of biofuels.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment consists of performing exercises sheets and reports of laboratory work, and final assessment through written tests.
