Film Editing I.
Objectives
The students shall gain command of techniques for conversion, upload and download of media files; develop the ability to deal with archival footage, and form their own approach on the collage of image, sound and text, its modes of production and distribution.
Program
Editing as a moment of reflection and choice; the "poor image" and its circulation channels; context and re-appropriation of materials; the editor-author; associative power of the voice over; non-creative writing and the concept of original; download, encoding, decoding and transcoding techniques; introduction to complementary softwares; export and upload techniques.
