Objectives
Students should understand:
- The place and the role of HRM in the context of corporate developments;
- The importance of administrative and Labor Law in human resources;
- The importance of strategic human resource component, the study of behavioral variables level.

Program
The role of HRM and its importance in organizations. Analysis of different factors in terms of HRM. The joint practices of HRM within the company’s strategy. The administrative and legal framework. The analysis and job description. Performance evaluation. The recruitment and selection of staff. Compensation and its influence on motivation.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment consists of a mid-term test and group work. Students whose grade is equal to or superior to 10 (in a scale of 0 to 20) in the mid-term test and that also achieve, at least, 10 marks in group work.

Teaching Method
In the subject of HRM emphasis is given to the study of practical cases, which will allow a better understanding of the theoretical knowledge and at the same time will give students the tools to tackle the solution of real problems in a creative way.
