Basic knowledge of mathematics.
Objectives
The students should familiarise themselves with the concepts and techniques involved in the selection and handling of photosensitive materials, either chemically or physically, in order to get accurate results.
Program
Fundamental concepts - Physics and Mathematics.
Natural and Artificial Light Sources.
Human Eye.
Sensitometry - densitometers, sensitometric results, sensitometric and Metering Applications.
Photoelectric Effect and digital detector.
Current colour CCD. Digital Performance.
Application of the Scientific Image.
Evaluation Methodology
Two written examinations (oral exam in exceptional cases).
