Prerequisites
Fundamentals of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

Objectives
The students should have a basic understanding of automatic control systems; be aware of the importance of industrial instrumentation; be familiar with the main components of a measurement
instrument and understand the operating mode of an industrial transducer.

Program
1. Introduction to Process Control. 2. Signal Conditioning Circuits.
3. Pneumatic Elements.
4. Pressure Sensors.
5. Level Sensors.
6. Temperature Sensors.
7. Flowmeters.
8. Viscosity Sensors.
9. Final Elements of Control.

Evaluation Methodology
Written examination (first or second assessment season) with a minimum
passing score of 9.5. (scale of 0-20)
