Prerequisites
Previous knowledge of materials technology and fluid mechanics

Objectives
The students should:
- acquire theoretical, practical and laboratory skills that will allow them to understand die-casting processes
- be able to develop a design project of die-cast parts

Program
Introduction to die-casting technology; metal fusion; moulding; die and mould sets; injected die-casting in a permanent steel mould; project considerations

Evaluation Methodology
Assessment includes written tests and fieldwork. The written part of assessment includes tests and/or exam.
A minimum of 7.5 is required in the written part.
