Objectives
Heat transfer between two bodies, the principle of operation and mechanisms involved. Heat transfer process: energy systems, heat transfer rates, heat exchangers and fins surfaces.

Program
1. Introduction
2. Heat transfer-conduction.
3. Heat conduction in one-dimensional steady state, and without heat generation.
4. Heat conduction in one-dimensional steady state, and with heat generation.
5. Fin.
6. Transient heat.
7. Convection.
8. Heat exchangers: types of heat exchangers.
9. Radiation through transparent media.

Evaluation Methodology
Final mark is calculated according to the following criteria:
Written test - 50%
Coursework - 50%
