The students will familiarise themselves with the new processes used on water or wastewater treatment stations.

Desinfection with Oxygen or Ozone Microfiltration and Nanofiltration Hardness Correction
Ion exchange
Nitrification denitrification processes Removal of N and P by chemical methods
Sludge treatment - Anaerobic digestion Methane and energy production.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment:compulsory reports
Final assessment: written test with 50% as the minimum pass mark.
