Objectives
The students are expected to master basic concepts of image scanning and processing and develop practical skills making use
of specific software for digital correction and manipulation.

Program
1. Image edition, selection and treatment.
2. Colour image and tone.
3. Concept of mask and layers.
4. Text and image integration.
5. Image processing for printing purposes.
6. Image processing for web purposes.

Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment covers software knowledge and the exercises carried out during the semester. The students who fail to complete at least half of the exercises have to take a final examination consisting of a theoretical-practical test.

Teaching Method
Theoretical-practical classes consisting of description and practice with the different software tools for image treatment. All classes include practical exercises designed to learn, test and consolidate subject matters.
