Objectives
On completion of this module students should be familiar with the history and technology of furniture production; be able to identify the material, technological, artistic and aesthetic dimensions of an artifact and to evaluate its state of preservation and propose treatment solutions.
Program
Technological aspects: identification and characterisation. Code of Ethics:intervention criteria and methodology to be developed. Preparatory phase of treatment: registration and documentation; environmental conditions of the place of origin; status of preservation; diagnosis and treatment proposal.
The intervention: application of theoretical concepts, materials, techniques and technologies.
