Objectives
Students will be provided with theoretical and practical knowledge of visual perception and ways to develop both manual ability and sensitivity to manipulate colour; they will practise with different colour retouching techniques in practical exercises performed in class.
Program
1. Visual perception and plastic form
2. Visual perception and restoration - visual perception and state of preservation - the action of colour discountinuity and gradient; visual weight and visual balance; natural changes and level of intervention.
3. Chromatic reintegration: aims, materials and techniques.
Evaluation Methodology
Final mark: class performance (30%) + Portfolio (40%) + written test (30%)
