Objectives
It is intended that students essentially acquire vocabulary related to the area of Energy and Biofuels, as well as basic semantic and grammatical structures that enable them to develop short texts in English with consistency and correctness, read and interpret technical documents.
Program
Themes: Technology and Society; Alternative energy; Biodiesel production; Fuel ethanol production; Biofuels from thermochemical conversion of renewable resources; Biogas; Biohydrogen.
Grammatical structures: Present simple; Past simple; Present perfect; Future; Modal verbs; Demonstrative pronouns; Personal pronouns; Possessive determiners; Propositions; Comparatives; Passive sentences.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment takes into account attendance, punctuality, oral participation and behavior, and includes written tests and assignments to develop during or after classes. The final assessment consists of written test (70%) and oral examination
